Here are the options we can provide for Snorkelling…
‘Experience Snorkelling’ is taught for one session made up of an hour in the classroom and an hour in the pool. In the classroom, we will introduce the snorkel equipment and how to use it safely then in the pool we will introduce you to the basic skills of snorkelling using a mixture of coaching and games. ‘Experience Snorkelling’ is the ideal taster session. The session is designed to be fun yet at the same time building confidence in water.
On successful completion of an ‘Experience snorkelling’ session, each participant receives a certificate of achievement and a booklet about snorkelling safety.
This is a fun way to learn to Snorkel, the course takes participants progressively through the use of the equipment and building confidence in and under the water.
The course usually lasts three weeks, each week comprising a short time in a classroom followed by one-hour practical in the pool. Satisfactory completion of the course concludes with the issue of the BSAC Dolphin Snorkeller award which can lead to the Scouts Water
